The Los Angeles Lakers have had many shooting guards come through in the 2010’s era. We take a look at the top five over the last 10 years.

As the 2010’s decade comes to a close, we look back at the top five shooting guards to wear a Los Angeles Lakers jersey in the last 10 years. It has been very guard-heavy, so there was a lot to choose from.

It was a wider range of players to pick from then the center and power forward position. Which were very hard to decipher with the lack of options at the position.

The Lakers started off the decade with a very good team. They were coming off winning back to back championships and were looking for a 3-peat in 2011. They carried their elite play for three more years into the 2012-13 season.

2012-13 would be the last season the team would make the postseason. As a Kobe Bryant torn Achilles tendon would end their reign as contenders. For the past six seasons, the Lakers have failed to find much success.

The 2019-20 season is a breath of fresh air as the team has sights on being a contender again. With the way the team is built, it is championship or bust. So a playoff berth isn’t considered a win for the Lakers.

The players, coaches and front office have bigger goals on their minds. They added a lot of shooting to the team and seem ready to go into the 2020’s decade with above-average shooting guards. But did any make the list?

We now take a look at the top five shooting guards for the Lakers in the 2010’s decade.
