JaVale McGee made up defensively for his mistakes in the previous game! Combined with Dwight Howard, the center position is a lock.

JaVale McGee made a lot of mistakes in crunch time against Orlando. The worst blunder was giving up a huge 3-point shot to Nikola Vucevic to end the Lakers chances. In this game, JaVale led the charge to shut the Rockets down in the 3rd quarter.

The two blocks in the 3rd quarter took the confidence away from the Houston Rockets. What shots he didn’t get to, were altered with outstanding rim protection. Capela was not heard from again after his blocked dunk at the rim. The Lakers have the complete advantage when Dwight Howard is added to the equation.

The two big men combined for 15 points, 18 rebounds (9 offensive!), 4 assists and 6 blocks.

This post game was a little different from the others. Rarely are these articles considered predictions. No matter if the Lakers make a move or not, if this team is locked in like they were against Houston, they will be a tough out until the Western Conference Finals.

Just look at the teams the Lakers have defeated in their NBA best 18-3 run.

The Clippers will be the other team in the Western Conference Finals. Lake Show Life will predict that series then.
