Kyle Kuzma has been brought up in a lot of trade rumors recently. We detail why trading him would be a bad move on the part of the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Los Angeles Lakers are playing elite basketball on both ends of the floor this season. They have a good cushion on the number one seed in the West and their chemistry is getting better each game. Kyle Kuzma, even though he hasn’t hit his full potential gets some of the credit.

He was tasked with a large job of being the third star to complement LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Although the numbers across the board may seem lacking, he has slowly started to build on the process.

There is a lot of areas he can grow in his game, but we have seen the talent from him. Putting it all together on the floor is something he needs to start doing. Translating skills on paper to real-life scenarios can be difficult sometimes.

The NBA is unforgiving, some players crack with an immense amount of pressure and some take off and succeed with it. The silver lining with Kuzma is he has displayed top-end talents at times for extended periods, so we know it is there.

The Lakers need every bit of the good Kuzma. They know their title window with LeBron is very short. As LeBron continues to get older it’s only a matter of time before he starts to slow down.

Kuzma being the third guy is very instrumental to this team. They’re contenders and they have been all year. But championships these days aren’t won with a duo anymore, you need a complimenting trio to do it, that’s how the precedent was set.

We will now take a look at five reasons why it would be a bad idea to trade Kuzma. Thus detailing why keeping him is the best logical route for Los Angeles as they chase a championship in 2020.
