The Los Angeles Lakers will be continuing their road-trip against the Philadelphia 76ers. Here are three keys to the game.
After winning both games on a back-to-back against the teams from New York, the Los Angeles Lakers will be heading down I-95 for a Saturday showdown against the Philadelphia 76ers.
The Lakers will be hoping to replicate what they did against the Houston Rockets last Saturday, and come out of Philadelphia with a win. Compared to the Nets and the Knicks, however, this will be a tougher task for the Lakers.
While the 76ers are banged up right now, they are one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference when healthy. Unfortunately for basketball fans, the 76ers will be without Joel Embiid and Josh Richardson for this game.
Since Embiid is one of the best big men in the league, we won’t get to see him and Anthony Davis matchup this time around.
Winning games on the road has been a strength of the Lakers this season, as they have a 20-4 record away from the Staples Center. As they continue on their Grammy road-trip, they would like to add another signature win against the 76ers.
Even though the Lakers have been great on the road, the 76ers have been arguably even better when they are at home. With a 20-2 record, the 76ers might have one of the best home-court advantages in the NBA this season. While they might be short-handed, the Lakers shouldn’t take them lightly.
