– Thrive in the paint

One of the greatest strengths for the Lakers this season has been their frontcourt. The combination of Anthony Davis, Dwight Howard and JaVale McGee has resulted in the Lakers dominating in the paint against most teams.

Since the 76ers are without Embiid, this a prime opportunity for the Lakers to feast in the paint with him out. Embiid is one of the best defensive big men in the NBA, so the Lakers are catching a huge break with him out.

In the last game against the Nets, the Lakers were without McGee. However, Howard stepped into the starting lineup and performed very well. Howard finished with 14 points and 12 rebounds against a somewhat weak frontcourt of the Nets. Davis also played quite well, as he totaled 27 points and 11 rebounds.

Against basically just Horford, the Lakers should have a field day in the paint and on the glass against the 76ers. With all three being capable on the offensive glass, the Lakers should give themselves some more extra possessions.

The Lakers have dominated in the paint all season and Saturday night should be no different.
