Recent Lakers rumors are that LeBron James is focused on bringing home a title this year for Kobe Bryant.

With the trade deadline approaching for the Los Angeles Lakers, most Lakers rumors have been about whether or not the team would be making a move before the deadline to improve.

However, after the tragic events of this past Sunday, the focus has shifted to more important things for the Lakers. The passing of Kobe Bryant in a horrific helicopter crash in California has put things into perspective for a lot of people.

As the franchise and fans of Kobe around the league mourn, the Lakers recently came together as a team to talk about Kobe and mourn together.

The NBA, Lakers and Clippers made the right move by postponing the game that was supposed to be on Tuesday night in order to give the Lakers some extra time to cope with the loss of Kobe.

Next up for the Lakers will be a game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday night. This will be their first game since the passing of Kobe, and it will surely be an emotional night in the Staples Center.

In a recent article by Bill Oram of The Athletic, he reported a few things that happened when the team came together to mourn Kobe. One of the things brought up was winning a title for the Mamba. You can read Oram’s article here with a paid subscription to The Athletic.

Winning a title has always been the goal for the Lakers this season. With one of the best rosters we have seen for the Lakers in a long time, the Lakers are certainly going to be contenders.

While the team certainly didn’t need any extra motivation, winning a title for one of the best Lakers of all-time would be extremely meaningful. Bryant was one of the best competitors that we have ever seen in the NBA, and when he was on the court, winning was priority No.1.

Even though the NBA Playoffs and the NBA Finals are a ways away, winning a title for Kobe would truly be special.
