With the trade deadline right around the corner for the Los Angeles Lakers, Frank Vogel isn’t all that worried about it.

One of the more exciting times of the NBA season is right around the corner, as the Los Angeles Lakers and the rest of the NBA prepare for the trade deadline.

As one of the best teams in the NBA, the Lakers are in a strong position as the deadline approaches. After the strong summer, the Lakers’ roster looks much better on paper compared to last season.

However, the Lakers have lost twice to the Los Angeles Clippers this season and once to the Milwaukee Bucks. These are the likely two teams that will stand in their way of winning an NBA Title, and they might try to improve some before they meet again.

Recently, Frank Vogel talked about the trade deadline. Here’s what he had to say via Harrison Faigen of Silver Screen and Roll

"“It’s just part of this time of the year, it just comes with the territory of being an NBA player, NBA coach and front office and we’re going to do our job,” Vogel said after practice, admitting that he hasn’t felt he needed to address the looming deadline with the roster.“Like every other team in the NBA, if there are ways to improve our team we’re gonna try to do it. If not, I know our team, we feel really good about who we have in uniform on this roster.”"

Compared to last season with the Anthony Davis rumors, there certainly hasn’t been as much buzz surrounding the Lakers. With a lot of players having no-trade clauses in their contracts and the team lacking assets from the deal for Davis, making a deal seems a tad unlikely.

However, if a deal is going to be done, Kyle Kuzma seems like the most likely player to be moved at this point. Due to his contract and potential, Kuzma is the best trade asset that the team has.

The Lakers will have just one more game before the trade deadline against the San Antonio Spurs on February 4th. However, they will be playing on the 6th the day of the deadline against the Rockets, who could look like a different team with rumors surrounding Clint Capela.

For the Lakers, making a big splash seems a tad unlikely right now due to the lack of assets. However, a small move or getting someone who is waived could be all the team needs to win a championship.
