As we head into the All-Star break, here are three players that need to be better for the Los Angeles Lakers in the second half of the season.
The Los Angeles Lakers headed into the All-Star break with the best record in the Western Conference, and are one of the best teams in the NBA.
Pairing LeBron James and Anthony Davis has been worth the wait and the duo has been as good as advertised. James is playing like an MVP candidate once again this season and Davis is looking like a potential Defensive Player of the Year.
The combination of the two has resulted in a lot of success so far for the Lakers in the first half of the season. James picked Davis first overall for his team in the All-Star Game, as the two are clearly becoming closer and closer.
While a great first half of the season is nice and all for the Lakers, they have much bigger goals. The Lakers want to win a championship this season, and they have the tools to do so.
Even though the Lakers are playing really well this season, there is still room for improvement. The Lakers did explore making some deals before the trade deadline, but ultimately passed.
As we head into the second half of the season after the All-Star break, the Lakers do have a few players that need to step up.
