LBJ is making an MVP case

Earlier in the day, LeBron James was announced as NBA’s Player of the Month for the second straight month. To be clear here, he won this one. The previous month? That Damian Lillard cat should have got that one. If you disagree, then you disagree, but you better ask somebody.

In addition to Davis’ world class performance, James was also outstanding, playing one of his better floor games to end the evening with 22 points, 14 assists and 7 rebounds in another near triple-double.

He was just as efficient as AD was. He shot 9-16 from the floor (2-5 from distance) with only 3 turnovers. Bottom line he was very comfortable against the Sixers.

He scored in multiple ways. He either drove through the defense.

Fakes Al Horford out of his boots (Man he had rough night didn’t he?) and scored on two of his teammates. When LeBron wasn’t bullying his opponents, he was shooting from the logo. Seems to be feeling himself after knocking down a shot from similar distance on Sunday.

People don’t understand how difficult it is to just pull up and shoot the ball from that distance like it’s a normal shot. This is a part of LeBron’s game that he struggles with. You can obviously see that he is really in the gym working on his 3-point shot with the coaches.

Now these two players are the good part of the game. Let’s flip the script and talk about the bad.

The Lakers actually needed every bit of the brilliance shown by these two stars to hold off a  undermanned Sixers team that never wins on the road (They’ve lost nine straight!) and that includes games with Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons.
