As the Los Angeles Lakers prepare for the playoff stretch, the front office will have their eye on the top college players in the country.

With March Madness in full swing, the front office of the Lakers will certainly be focused on some of the top conferences in the nation. So far this season, one of the top conferences in the country has been the Big East.

Despite not being the powerhouse from top to bottom like we’ve seen in the past, the Big East will have multiple teams in the NCAA tournament and could have multiple teams make it to the Sweet 16 and beyond.

The Top 3 teams in the Big East this season have been Creighton, Villanova and Seton Hall. While these three are the cream of the crop in the conference, there are players on other teams who could be pros in the NBA next season.

With a three-way tie atop the conference this season that resulted in Creighton coming out on top with the tie-breaker, we will see some great matchups in the third round before the championship game. Even though the Big East might not have a ton of early first-round NBA talent, this is a fairly deep conference that could produce multiple pros next season.
