With the Los Angeles Lakers rolling, one minor injury that they have to monitor is the groin of LeBron James.

After a great weekend for the Los Angeles Lakers, they suffered a predictable letdown loss against the Brooklyn Nets. Since the Lakers were coming off their two biggest wins of the season, it was easy to overlook the Nets, who just fired their head coach.

In addition to the letdown spot against the Nets, it was also a look ahead spot with a game coming up against the Houston Rockets right after. The Rockets were able to recently beat the Lakers with their new small-ball lineup. So, the Lakers were in the mix of coming off some big wins and possibly looking ahead to a team that recently beat them.

While the Lakers are rolling, they do have some concern about the groin of LeBron James. Before the game against the Nets, James was listed as questionable. James ended up playing and playing well, but the Lakers are certainly monitoring it.

Recently, Frank Vogel spoke about the injury status of James. Here’s what he said on Spectrum Sports with text via Silver Screen and Roll.

"“He had some soreness after the game the other night. We’re going to be cautious with it. Big-picture mindset. But he came in this morning and felt ready to go, so we rolled with it.”"

Considering James suffered his first major injury last season, the Lakers know they need to be careful with their veteran star. James is having an MVP caliber season for the Lakers and they need him to accomplish their goals.

With the top record in the Western Conference, the Lakers are in a position to have homecourt throughout the Western Conference playoffs. Even though they have a chance to catch the Milwaukee Bucks for the best record, having a healthy LeBron is more important.

Due to the recent news of the NBA season being suspended, LeBron might get a little bit more rest than originally expected.
