With the NBA grinding to a halt in all facets and with uncertain times ahead regarding the NBA season, it is potentially time for Vogel and the Los Angeles Lakers to assess who will make their playoff roster and who will not.
It is shocking and frightening how quickly things have gone from glorious to downright scary, not just regarding the Los Angeles Lakers season but the World as we know it has been hugely affected by COVID-19 (coronavirus).
While many are upset and annoyed at the cancellation and postponement of games, I think as a collective we can understand and respect the need for precaution and safety. These players have families and loved ones they must protect and keep safe. We all hope that the coronavirus is dealt with in a swift and effective matter that will ensure minimal casualties and people being able to live their lives in a safe and meaningful way.
With so much uncertainty regarding the NBA season, the break-in play while sad and scary can also be used productively for the Los Angeles Lakers.
With players carrying injuries, this gives them added time to rehab and get their bodies right for a potential playoff run. This gives the coaching staff further time to find ways to beat their future opponents, and it also gives the Lakers time to focus on who should be part of the playoff rotation if and when it occurs.
