Lakers Rumors: Two players test positive for coronavirus
By Nick Ziegler
Recent Lakers rumors are that two players on the team have tested positive for the coronavirus.
With the NBA being suspended right now, recent Lakers rumors have been about when the season will be resuming.
After a tough past few years for the Lakers, they were finally back to being a title contender this season. With the best record in the Western Conference and the second-best overall record, the Lakers are a legit team.
Before the season was suspended, the Lakers faced off against the Brooklyn Nets after an awesome weekend. Unfortunately in a letdown spot, the Lakers lost to the Nets in that game.
Recently, the Nets were tested for the coronavirus, and four players including Kevin Durant tested positive. This certainly woke up some teams around the league, including the Lakers. Since the Nets played the Lakers recently, they decided to test their players.
According to Shams Charania, two players on the Lakers have tested positive for the virus.
This is a very serious matter for the Lakers, who will likely now be testing their coaches and other personnel around the team.
While the virus has spread quickly, there hasn’t been a ton of deaths yet for younger adults. A lot of people in good shape have been asymptomatic, which means they aren’t showing any symptoms with the virus.
It was yet to be reported who the two players were that tested positive, but we hope that they and their families are alright. Just going off of Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell, the virus hasn’t had a huge impact on their health, as both have appeared to be alright in videos that they posted.
As new information becomes available about who these two players are, and if any more test positive, we will keep you updated. Hopefully, both players are feeling alright, as there weren’t any reports before them testing positive that anyone on the Lakers was feeling ill.
