The NBA season has ground to a halt due to COVID-19. With the future of the 2019-20 NBA season up in the air, it might be time to take a look at the upcoming NBA offseason. With the Los Angeles Lakers strapped for cash, they will need to be creative in order to fill out areas of need.
The Los Angeles Lakers are currently in a holding pattern while COVID-19 wreaks havoc across the World. While it would be great to watch the season continue and the Lakers go from strength to strength, the right call has been made by the league and Commissioner Adam Silver.
With the break in play, it gives both players, staff and fans time to think about the season up until this point and what is going to happen going forward.
One thing that comes to mind when watching highlights of the Lakers from this season and last season, the Lakers are significantly better than they were last season.
Without a shadow of a doubt.
This team the Lakers have on the floor is special, lead by Superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis, they are pushing this team to heights not seen since the days of Kobe Bryant (R.I.P. Mamba) and Pau Gasol.
While LeBron and Anthony Davis and co. have been excellent, the time away from the game has shown members of Lakers nation that when LeBron is off the floor, the team struggles without a primary play-maker.
With the cap-room being tight for the Lakers come this summer, they may have to get creative in order to bring in a point guard capable of being the play-maker they need.
With that being said, here are 3 point guard who the Los Angeles Lakers should target during the 2020 NBA offseason.
