Ric Bucher actually said on the record that LeBron James does not want to finish the season!

The one thing that stands Lake Show Life out from other Lakers sites is that LeBron James does not in any way get a pass on criticism. This site has blasted his behavior last year that included.

Then there’s the defense in the second half of the season, but that would be piling on. The one thing Lake Show Life would never do is call this man a coward that doesn’t want to challenge the best players in the NBA for a title. That is basically what Ric Bucher is saying when he claims his belief that LeBron James deep down does not want to finish the season.

To the Los Angeles Lakers fans, this might be the worst statement Ric Bucher has made since when he was at ESPN saying that Kobe Bryant should be traded.

This is a very dangerous take. Always remember that this is a television show that has to fill 2-3 hours on content daily if the NBA comes back or not. Fox Sports still has to draw more viewers than ESPN in the daily rating period. But to say that LeBron James, or any athlete, is scared to compete on any stage is crossing the sensationalism line.

LeBron James has his flaws and Lake Show Life has been critical of him. But there is no way in any context that James would use so many issues (Which includes this pandemic!) to cover his “legacy” and his standing as a player in NBA history.

Let’s break down what Ric Bucher said and compare LeBron’s statements in the media.
