The Los Angeles Lakers have had countless legends wear the purple and gold throughout the franchise history. It is hard to say goodbye to many of these legends when they hang the sneakers up, with many fans wanting just one more game out of their favorite stars.

Ice Cube recognized this and started the BIG3 in 2017. A halfcourt professional basketball league, the BIG3 showcased some notable former NBA stars and gave basketball fans something to watch during the summer.

We have not really seen any Laker legends associated with the league. Michael Cooper coached 3’s Company, but that is about it in terms of notable former Lakers.

With that in mind, we compiled four former Lakers who could still suit up and produce in the BIG3, while most importantly, being fun to watch.

Former Los Angeles Lakers that would be perfect in the BIG3: 4. Sasha Vujacic

If you have ever played NBA 2K9 then you would know that Sasha Vujacic was absolutely lethal from downtown. 2K9 was the first-ever NBA game that I owned and in my season mode with the Lakers, I would make room for Vujacic in the starting five by putting Kobe Bryant at the point guard position.

Vujacic was lights out (at times) in real life as well. His best shooting season came in 2007, where he shot 43.7 percent from beyond the arc with 3.8 attempts per game. For this generation of basketball, before the three-point wave began, this was absolutely remarkable.

Vujacic’s 2007 season was one of 28 seasons in the decade in which someone shot 43.7 percent or better from downtown with at least 3.5 attempts per game. It would happen an average of 2.8 times per season, Vujacic was one of those instances.

He is only 36 years old as well and I guarantee that he is still athletic enough to come to the BIG3 and rain down three and four-pointers as one of the best shooters in the league.
