Former Los Angeles Lakers that would be perfect in the BIG3: 2. Nick Van Exel

Now we are starting to get into some of the older guys as the next two players are well into their 40s but absolutely could still produce and turn heads in the BIG3. First, we look at former Los Angeles Lakers point guard Nick Van Exel, who would be extremely fun to watch in the league.

Van Exel is Allen Iverson-light with the way he handles the ball. He was a highlight reel waiting to happen as he had smooth handles and some of the best, most creative facilitating in the game. Van Exel may have not been the best player on the court but his highlights are so dang fun to watch.

You might be limiting his game a tad in halfcourt as there would be no fastbreaks, where Van Exel often got the most creative, but he would be one of the best ball-handlers in the league and undoubtedly would put at least one person on the floor with his handles.

Van Exel is 48, which is up there in age, but there are several players in the league that are in their 40s. Stephen Jackson is one of the best players in the league and he is 42, Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf played in the inaugural season at 48 and had one of the best three-point shooting percentages.

Van Exel might be a little old and it probably would never happen as he is busy as an assistant with the Memphis Grizzlies, but man would it be fun to see him go out there and display his handles.
