Danny Green: B-
Danny Green was the biggest signing that the Los Angeles Lakers made as the team seemingly signed the perfect three and D defender to put alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Not only is Green elite defensively with a great three-point shot, but he also has a ton of valuable playoff experience, winning two championships alongside Kawhi Leonard.

Green’s stint with the Lakers started off on a perfect note. He was red-hot from three to start the season and hit a buzzer-beater three to send a primetime game against the Dallas Mavericks into overtime.
In many ways, that overtime win against the Mavericks was the Lakers proving for the first time this season that they were legit. They came from behind against a young, exciting Mavericks team and instead of LeBron or AD hitting the biggest shot of the game, it was Green.
Green has since cooled down and that keeps him from getting higher than a B- grade. He is shooting 41.9 percent from the field, 37.8 percent from beyond the arc but is still playing exceptional defense.
The 37.8 three-point percentage might seem like a disappointment after Green shot 45.5 percent from three last season but it is along the lines of his career averages. While he is a career 40.2 percent three-point shooter, from 2015 to 2018 he shot a combined 35.7 percent from beyond the arc.
Green still has that potential to get hot and very well could be the role player that swings an entire playoff series, similar to Fred VanFleet last season or Andre Iguodala for the Warriors for all those years.
While he may not be playing to his full potential in the regular season, Danny Green has done more than enough to warrant a good grade.
