Anthony Davis is one of the best players that the Los Angeles Lakers have had rep the purple in gold in this era. He is one of the best players in the NBA right now and will likely continue to be one of the best at his craft for the foreseeable future.

The skilled big man is just 27 years old and is entering into his prime years in the NBA. The tandem of LeBron James and Anthony Davis is the best 1-2 punch the NBA has to offer.

Davis is a free agent at the end of the 2019-2020 NBA season which might already be upon us. The Lakers will obviously look to retain him on a max contract and want to make him a pillar in Los Angeles. He could be the next man up in the long lineage of elite big men in Lakers franchise history.

The 27-year-old is now a 7-time NBA All-Star, 3-time All-NBA and 3-time All-Defensive team player. He will likely continue to add to that ledger for years to come in what seems to be a career destined for the Hall of Fame. He has developed a reliable outside jumper, has begun to fully hone in his passing skills, and has developed even further on the defensive end.

LeBron James is still at the top of his game at 35 years old, but his time will eventually come. He will have to pass the torch to someone who is worthy of it. Why not Anthony Davis? The Los Angeles Lakers success has always come at the direction of superstardom. Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, and…. Anthony Davis.

Anthony Davis is going to be connected with the Los Angeles Lakers for his entire life.

We decided to take a look at the three primary reasons why Anthony Davis will be a Laker for the rest of his career. There are many, but we decided to break down the three most prominent reasons.
