1. Jimmy Butler

  • Year drafted: 2011
  • All-star appearances: Five

Just like Siakam and Gobert, it took some time for Jimmy Butler to blossom into the player he is today but once he reached that level, he never looked back and now is undoubtedly one of the 15/20 best players in the league.

More from Lake Show Life

Butler’s first breakout season was the 2014-2015 season, his second year as a starter, where he averaged 20 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game to go along with his excellent defense. Since then, outside of his split season in 2018 with two teams, Butler has averaged 20 or more points per game.

He continues to be one of the best two-way players in the entire league. His scoring has consistently been in the 20-24 points per game range, which does not make him one of the most prolific scorers in the league, but considering his defense, it is hard to ignore his two-way impact.

On top of being a five-time all-star Butler has made the NBA All-Defensive Second Team four times as well as the All-NBA Third team three times.

The one knock against Butler is his perceived locker room presence, as there has been a narrative that has followed him around in every team he has played for. Thus far, Butler has played for four different organizations, with each situation not ending on good terms.

However, it is impossible to deny the talent that Butler possesses and if the Los Angeles Lakers somehow hit the lottery and snagged a great two-way player that is 75 percent of Jimmy Butler then they would be extremely happy.
