The NBA season is currently at a crossroads. There is no definitive timeline for the season to restart again. With so much time on our hands, why not take a stab at the Los Angeles Lakers all-time starting 5?

The Los Angeles Lakers. The name alone is historic. A name synonymous with excellence, winning, and passion. The Lakers as an organization have been the gold standard in terms of long term winning in the NBA. A significant portion of the credit can go to former owner Dr. Jerry Buss.

Dr. Buss saw that the Lakers could be more than what former owner Jack Kent Cooke had made them. He saw glitz and glamour and he saw that the Los Angeles Lakers had the potential to be the number one attraction in all of sports.

Dr. Buss took the necessary steps to ensure that his vision was executed and today the Los Angeles Lakers continue to be one of the premier franchises in all of sports.

Without Dr. Buss the Lakers wouldn’t be the glitzy and glamour team it is today, but without some the players that have worn the purple and gold armor, the Lakers would simply just be another team.

Throughout the decades, the Los Angeles Lakers have been blessed with an extraordinary talent that has carried them to numerous Championships. With some of the titans of the game representing the purple and gold, it is going to be difficult to fit them all into a starting 5.
