The Los Angeles Lakers have showcased great depth this season and it has been a huge reason why the team has the second-best record in the league and the best in the Western Conference at the time of the current hiatus.

Prior to the season, the Lakers’ front office had its critics as the team waited for Kawhi Leonard to make his decision, missing out on Leonard and some high-profile role players in the process. However, the Lakers have proved most of the critics wrong, and if the season does resume, they are arguably the favorites to win the NBA Championship.

The team’s great depth has caused a double-edged sword for some player as some players are not getting the playing time that they probably should be getting. While the minutes played likely won’t change if the season picks back up, certain players are key candidates to see an increase in playing time next season.

Two Los Angeles Lakers players are deserving of more minutes next season.

It would be a bold move for Frank Vogel to completely switch things up if the season does resume, so do not expect these players to be bigger role players in the playoffs. However, next season, we should be seeing more of them on the court, at least we hope.
