Lakers News: Pau Gasol interested in returning to LA
By Jason Reed
Pau Gasol will always be remembered fondly in Los Angeles Lakers history as his arrival led to three NBA Finals appearances and two consecutive titles, giving Kobe Bryant the fourth and fifth of his career. Now, Gasol is back in Lakers news.
Gasol may not have been the star, but the Lakers do not win those titles without him. Hopefully, one day his number is retired in the rafters alongside Kobe Bryant’s and we could potentially see Gasol don the purple and gold once more before then.
Gasol told Ryan Ward of Clutch Points that he has a great relationship with the Los Angeles Lakers and while the situation has not been presented to him, that finishing his career in Los Angeles would be appealing.
If only the Los Angeles Lakers had a roster spot opening up for next season with a veteran power forward potentially leaving the team (Jared Dudley) after this season. If only.

The NBA is slowly allowing teams to re-open their practice facilities with strict guidelines on how to operate for the time being. The Lakers, along with the Clippers, are one of few teams that are allowed to test players before entering the practice facility even if they are not showing any symptoms.
Some teams do not have the same luxury, as tests are not as readily available in their area. According to Wojnarowski, LA mayor Eric Garcetti said that testing is available for all LA residents.
