With so much uncertainty regarding the NBA season, the mind wanders to different areas. One such area it floats to is what former Los Angeles Lakers would be a fit for this current Lakers squad?

If not for NBA TV and highlight on YouTube, I think a lot of basketball fans might have lost their collective minds.

It has felt so long without sports that the NFL draft in April seemed like a gift from God. An event that involves no sports being played. For most sports fans, The Michael Jordan documentary “The Last Dance” is the one time in the week that we can all digest two hours of sports entertainment.

Just enough for each fan of the NBA to get their fix until next week.

With NBA TV being the main source of basketball entertainment for fans of the NBA, looking at games of the past has become daily viewing.

When it comes to the purple and gold, the Superstars are who stand out the most upon viewing. When it comes to the Los Angeles Lakers, they have prided themselves on landing the best talent in the league over the decades to continue to win championships year after year, but during each game, you will see one or two role players who make an important basket, make the extra pass or block a shot that alters the game.

Let’s get this straight right off the block, No former superstars are allowed on this list. That means no Kobe Bryant (RIP), No Magic, Kareem, Jerry West, Wilt Chamberlain, Pau Gasol, Elgin Baylor, Shaq, or James Worthy. OK? The focus is going to be on former Los Angeles Lakers starters or role players who at no point in their career were considered franchise-altering players.

Are we in agreement? Good.

Without further ado.

Here are 3 former Los Angeles Lakers role players who would be ideally fitted to today’s Lakers roster.
