Los Angeles Lakers’ most tradeable players: 3. Danny Green

Danny Green fits like a glove on the Los Angeles Lakers. He is a solid three-point shooter and plays great defense. He fits the three and D mantra that it takes to play alongside LeBron James and on paper, moving Green makes absolutely no sense.

And I am not campaigning for the Lakers to be shopping Danny Green. They shouldn’t be. There is no reason to actively try and trade Danny Green. However, if a big-enough upgrade is on the market, Green is a necessary sacrifice that the Lakers may have to make.

The reason being is his contract. Green has one more year under contract with the Lakers and is set to make $15.3 million next season. To adhere to the salary rules when trading players in the NBA, the Lakers might need to include Green in a package with someone else simply to make the deal possible.

He makes this list because he is tradeable, for that very reason. But he ranks third because he himself is not going to be shopped by the Lakers.

The price has to be right and the Lakers have to be making a tangible upgrade for this to even be considered. While there might not be a clear-cut trade right now that seems worth it, the NBA trade market is always developing.
