Lakers Rumors theory number four: Think Rondo will be as mad at Kendrick as he was Stephen A. Smith?

After the “Spitgate” game was over. All of the other players that were involved in the fracas tried their best to move on.

  • Brandon Ingram apologized and actually showed a ton of remorse.
  • Chris Paul had one statement accepting responsibility for his part and moved on.
  • Rajon Rondo well, got into a back and forth with Stephen A. Smith.

A few weeks after the incident Rajon Rondo had a problem with Stephen A. Smith’s take on how long his suspension should have been (For the record, everyone that got suspended got off light!).

Rajon Rondo was upset with  Stephen A. Smith’s opinion about Rondo deserving 15 games for the fight with Chris Paul. For the record, fans and media alike were shocked at what Ingram and Rondo got for their part in the incident.

According to Smith, Rondo had some colorful words directed to him after the Lakers beat the Minnesota Timberwolves on First Take.

"“As an aside, I just wanted, if you don’t mind, I just wanted to deviate away from this particular subject. I wanted to start off the show saying something — when I was in the Lakers locker room last night, Mr. Rondo directed a very disrespectful comment my way. He didn’t say it by name. I was standing right next to him. I just kept my head down because out of respect to the Los Angeles Lakers as an organization, I didn’t want to make a scene. So, I just left it at that. I just want Rondo to know I know that. Number 1. And Number 2 — I stand by my proclamation that he deserved a 15-game suspension for spitting in the face of Chris Paul. And last but not least, I just want to say out of respect for him, I would remind him … I never said anything about why he left Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Sacramento, it goes on and on. I’ll just leave it at that. “Anytime he wants to have a big man conversation, I’m more than willing to have a conversation because I do respect him.”"

Then Smith doubled down on his radio show.

The question going forward is, how will Rajon Rondo feel about Kendrick Perkins spilling the beans. “The Last Dance” documentary has added a new facet to sports debates. They are “The Code” and “Snitching”. Michael Jordan and Horace Grant went back and forth on it through the media.

Will Rajon Rondo and Kendrick Perkins be next?
