A Los Angeles Lakers title in 2020 is not tainted whatsoever.

As you’re probably aware, there is growing optimism among NBA personnel that the 2019-20 season will resume at some point this summer. How that will look exactly has yet to be determined, but it is still great news just to know that there are plans in the works for the season to come back.

Now if and when the season does continue, circumstances are obviously going to be different from anything we have seen in the past. Teams are going to have to adjust on the fly to situations and scenarios they have never seen before. But all teams will be in the same predicament and dealing with the same issues. Is it unusual? Yes. Is it unfair? No.

I know there will be plenty of fans and naysayers who are going to say that any championship won this season will deserve an asterisk next to it in the record books because of all the irregularities that are in play. And then you can probably double the number of critics if LeBron and the Los Angeles Lakers are the team who brings home the title just because of pure disdain.

But I’m here to tell you exactly why a 2020 Los Angeles Lakers’ championship wouldn’t and shouldn’t be tainted in any way, shape, or form. And if anything, it should probably be even more respected than any other championship that has come before it.
