4. March 6th, 2020, Milwaukee Bucks at Los Angeles Lakers – Big win versus Giannis

Most people viewed this last game against the Milwaukee Bucks as a very likely finals preview and the last leg of the MVP race between Giannis Antetokounmpo and LeBron. In their first matchup in Milwaukee, the Bucks handled the Lakers fairly easily and Giannis acted like he was putting on LeBron’s fictional crown.

That gesture probably fuelled LeBron’s performance in this game and helped him put up 37 points, eight rebounds, eight assists, and even three steals on the other end. His running mate Davis also had a great game adding 30 points, nine rebounds, and two blocks as well.

Giannis filled the stat sheet up like he normally does with 32 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists, but he shot a way worse percentage and worked a lot harder to score than in their first match up. In their first game, he went five for eight from three, and in their second one he crashed back down to earth only hitting one out of his six three-point attempts.

The biggest problem for the Bucks in this game was that Khris Middleton, their second all-star, could not buy a bucket. He had one of his worst shooting performances of the season shooting an atrocious 26 percent from the field and going two for 10 from beyond the arc.

At halftime, the game was all tied up at 48 apiece, showing just how equally matched these two teams are. Yet in the second half the Lakers pulled away with a big 39-point third quarter where LeBron and AD combined for 25 points.

This game definitely gave the Lakers a confidence booster if they should meet this team in the finals. It would probably be one of the only teams that would be favored over the Lakers in a seven-game series.
