3 reasons why the Los Angeles Lakers would beat the Milwaukee Bucks
By Jason Reed
3. The Los Angeles Lakers have more ways to score
The Milwaukee Bucks have a rather simple gameplan that works really effectively; give the ball to Giannis and let him drive and either terrorize opposing defenders or kick it out and hit an open shooter. The Bucks have surrounded him solely with shooters and that has been a great strategy.

As we saw last season against the Raptors, though, if you start to slow Giannis down then the Bucks are going to need to shoot at an even better rate. If the shooting cools off then it is going to be really hard to outscore a team like the Lakers.
Granted, they are not as “live by the three, die by the three” as the Houston Rockets were two years ago, but we have seen where talented teams just clank shots and lose the game.
The Lakers have more weapons in their arsenal. They have the shooters to keep up with the Bucks and have the best facilitator in the league in LeBron James to capitalize on that. They also have the size to dump off to as well, something that LeBron has always made a habit in his career.
Most importantly, they have one of the most unstoppable plays in basketball today, the LeBron James-Anthony Davis pick and roll. LeBron can go iso, Davis can go iso and post up and like the Bucks, the Lakers are pretty solid in the fastbreak.
The game slows down in the playoffs and with so many different ways to score and his experience behind him, LeBron is going to do what he often does and put the team in the best position to score almost every single time.
This is without mentioning that guys like Rajon Rondo and even Anthony Davis (30.5 points, 12.7 rebounds, 2.5 blocks in playoffs) get even better in the playoffs. With Davis playing like that, the Bucks are going to struggle to stop the Lakers’ offense.
