LeBron James has led the Los Angeles Lakers to 1st in the Western Conference

The Western Conference is the better of the two conferences in the NBA.

So much criticism has unfairly come LeBron’s way the vast majority of his career. One of the major criticisms was his ability to win in the Eastern Conference, considered by many to the “lesser” of the two conferences in the NBA.

It was said that LeBron was able to dominate due to the relative lack of competition from Eastern teams. With the Indiana Pacers, Boston Celtics, Orlando Magic, and Chicago Bulls at times causing problems for the LeBron led Cavaliers and Miami Heat.

To an extent, there is potential truth to this as LeBron has lost 6 NBA finals collectively to the San Antonio Spurs (x2), Golden State Warriors (x3) and the Dallas Mavericks,

LeBron decided to prove all the naysayers wrong and made his move to the Western Conference to dispel once and for all that he can’t win out West.

So far this season, LeBron is proving all the haters wrong. Not only is LeBron winning with the Lakers in the West, he is winning currently by a 5.5 game margin.

The Los Angeles Lakers look the odds on favorite to make it to the NBA Finals out West.

The Eastern conference this season even by comparison to previous years has been really weak. Giannis and co have dominated in the East with teams like the Toronto Raptors, Miami Heat, and Boston Celtics who have not had strong seasons right behind them in the standings.

With LeBron James finally in the West and winning, it is hard to refute that in the harder conference against more difficult teams, LeBron has been winning consistently this season against harder opponents and looking phenomenal doing so.
