Avery Bradley will not return to the Los Angeles Lakers and five players could fill his place.
When the news broke earlier in the week that Avery Bradley was opting to sit out of the rest of the season, Lakers fans were in a panic and had some nasty and regretful things to say on twitter about it.
It is disappointing to see that many over the top and crazy negative reactions, because not only does Bradley have every right to put his family before anything, he also played a big part in the Lakers having their best season in almost a decade.
However, the negative reactions of some Lakers fans do not represent the entire fan base, there was also a bright twitter moment from Bradley’s decision. Magic Johnson got to talk basketball on twitter again and brought back some normalcy, with this gem.
The @Lakers losing Avery Bradley is a tough loss and will make it more difficult for them to win the NBA championship.

He is not lying when he does what he does best and states the obvious that it is going to be more difficult to win the title this season. But along with the rest of Lakers and NBA twitter he is forgetting that the Lakers have the depth to withstand this loss.
When Bradley went down with an injury that lasted from mid-November to early December the Lakers went on a tear and won 12 out of 13 games without him. Replacing him with Kentavious Caldwell-Pope in the starting line up, increasing Danny Green’s minutes at the two, and playing more of Alex Caruso off of the bench worked to perfection and produced the results to prove it.
Now with the addition of Dion Waiters, and whatever free agent the Lakers decide to go with to replace Bradley on the roster, the Lakers will have even more bodies to ease the loss of Bradley at the point and shooting guard positions.
It is scary to think that a player that has yet to suit up for the purple and gold this season could end up playing meaningful minutes down the stretch, but luckily the two players that might have to do that have been teammates with LeBron James in the past, so that could help ease their transition on the court.
