Lakers News: LeBron James continues to set records, even if he has nothing to do with it.
When LeBron James hangs it up he is going to have multiple NBA records. If he keeps going at his current pace, he is going to finish with the most points all-time and is well on his way to becoming the only player in NBA history with 30,000 points and 10,000 assists. LeBron has set the bar with another record due to some recent Los Angeles Lakers news that really has nothing to do with him.
According to Darren Rovell of the Action Network, A LeBron James rookie card has set the modern-day rookie card record with a $960,000 bid (h/t CBS Sports). The previous record belonged to a Mike Trout rookie card, which sold for $922,500.
The bidding is open on the rookie card until July 18, so it has plenty of time to cross the $1 million threshold.
