Should the Los Angeles Lakers pass or pursue the 3 players deemed as the team’s top trade targets?

The Los Angeles Lakers‘ biggest focus right now is getting into the Orlando bubble safely and resuming the 2020 NBA season. The team has unfinished business as the Lakers were the first seed in the Western Conference at the time of the league’s hiatus and have a chance to potentially finish what they started.

Of course, the health and safety of the players come first and foremost. Commissioner Adam Silver has expressed concerns on positive tests “popping” the Orlando bubble, especially with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The hope is that the league can return and operate safely and the Los Angeles Lakers can bring home championship number 17.

While the players are playing in Orlando, the front office is going to be preparing the offseason gameplan. The offseason is going to be a crunch this season and things are going to move fast, so chances are that Rob Pelinka and his staff already have a good idea on what direction they want to go and who they want to target.

Things can change quickly, though.

There are a few intriguing names that the Los Angeles Lakers could target this offseason and various different NBA outlets have previewed what the team may do. This includes Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report, who listed the top three offseason trade targets for every team in the NBA.

The Lakers’ top three trade targets, according to Buckley, are Spencer Dinwiddie, Buddy Hield and Derrick Rose.

Here is our two cents on the Lakers potentially trading for any of those three players as we break down whether the team should pass or pursue each player.
