The Los Angeles Lakers could look at youth in free agency this offseason.
The Los Angeles Lakers‘ roster is built up of mostly veteran players that the team brought in within the last two free-agent periods. With not much-projected cap space because with Anthony Davis potentially signing a new deal, the only additions that the Lakers will make in free agency might seem like more veteran deals.
However, that is not completely the case. There are younger free agents in the league that has not recognized their potential yet in the league and could be signed for a premium. For the Los Angeles Lakers, this could be a huge opportunity.
This offseason is going to be unlike any other offseason in league history. It is going to be a sprint to the finish line as front offices are not going to have much time to make their respective moves. Because of that, teams are likely already planning for the offseason, even if they are in the Orlando bubble.
With a great head coach in Frank Vogel and a superstar in LeBron James that makes players around him better, these players could reach new levels on the Los Angeles Lakers and are worth considering.
