There are three questions about the Los Angeles Lakers roster heading into the restart of the season

In March, the Los Angeles Lakers boasted the best record in the Western Conference and everyone on the roster knew their role and what Frank Vogel expected from them. Then, impacts of COVID-19 interrupted the season.

The pause in play hasn’t changed the Lakers’ Western Conference ranking, but it has muddied up the roster a bit.

As things stand now, Avery Bradley, the Lakers’ starting point guard, won’t rejoin the team because he wants to protect his six-year-old son’s health.

Making things even messier, the Lakers’ backup point guard, Rajon Rondo, suffered a fractured thumb in practice a couple of days ago that will require surgery (the latest reports have Rondo returning during the second round of the playoffs).

Finally, Rob Pelinka made two questionable additions to the Purple and Gold’s roster by adding Dion Waiters and J.R. Smith to the squad.

Concerns have arisen about how Frank Vogel and the rest of the coaching staff should proceed with these unforeseen “complications.”

We’ll delve into the three most important questions about the Lakers tweaked roster and the best way to handle them.
