While Danny Green has been a good acquisition for the Los Angeles Lakers, to a certain extent he has underperformed.

In the Summer of 2019, the Lakers had their eyes firmly set on two players — Anthony Davis and Kawhi Leonard.

They got halfway there when they landed Davis in an NBA altering deal with the New Orleans Pelicans.

They waited confidently to land Kawhi, in the end, they missed out on Kawhi and were left to go with plan B and get a quality supporting cast to play alongside LeBron and AD.

In his time with the Purple and Gold, Danny Green has done some truly good things. He has offered solid 3-point shooting, good leadership, and has been a great perimeter defender. Has he lived up to his $16m price tag? At this stage it is debatable.
