Tonight’s prediction

So what is going to happen tonight between the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers?

The Immediate Impact:

Missing Williams and Harrell are obviously big blows for the Clippers. The Clippers are now severely offensively challenged without two of their four top scorers.

Montrezl Harrell and Lou Williams both average 18.6 points per game. Kawhi’s offense is in quarantine, having shot 26% from the field in the Clippers scrimmages.

Paul George will have to step up his offense to a level not seen since he played for the Indiana Pacers (ironically enough Lakers Coach Frank Vogel was the Pacers coach when PG emerged as a star).

Prediction:

Will the Clippers overcome their severe firepower deficiency to beat the Lakers? No. It is too much to overcome. Paul George and Kawhi each go for 30 but the Lakers score just enough to get the win and to solidify their foothold over the #1 seed.
