Los Angeles Lakers: 4 Lessons in bounce-back win over Utah Jazz!
By Ronald Agers
Jalen Rose is starting to pile on LeBron James’ performance! How did he do?
LeBron James ended the night with 22 points, 9 assists, 8 rebounds, 2 steals and a block. He also shot above 50% from the field (56.3%) for the first time since the season restarted. Okay for the LeBron stans, the stats are out of the way.
Let’s talk reality. LeBron James is coasting through games and it will bite the Los Angeles Lakers soon. Enough of the “He has to get into rhythm RELAX!” narrative. He is a superstar and the supposed best player in the world. It seems Jalen Rose is starting to notice.
Paul Pierce? More like Paul Pressey.
This is the same LeBron James that we saw last year. Putting up stats without making a real dominating impact. Sure you will see this dunk on highlight reels all over the country.

But for the Lakers to make this playoff run, LeBron James has to dominate just like Anthony Davis. With the absence of Avery Bradley, the responsibilities of the stars have gone up a notch. For three quarters of three games, Lake Show Life has watched James go at half speed and pick it up in the 4th quarter while Davis has done the heavy lifting on the offensive end.
- Against the Clippers: The Lakers almost lost the game.
- Against the Raptors: It was a blowout loss!
- Against the Jazz: The Lakers won.
But in the victories, Anthony Davis scored 37 points and 42 points respectively. In the playoffs, teams are going to load up on him. What will LeBron’s scoring contributions be? It was assumed that both superstars would dominate in these games. Only one has shown up so far and it’s not the guy this page is dedicated to.
LeBron James is going to have to be better Los Angeles Lakers fans, a lot better.
