The Los Angeles Lakers’ worst possible playoff path is now possible.

The Los Angeles Lakers have locked up the first seed in the Western Conference despite poor play in the Orlando Bubble. The purple and gold are 2-3 in the Orlando bubble thus far and have just three more seeding games remaining until the NBA Playoffs kick off.

Two of those losses were very ugly in which the Lakers shot the ball extremely poorly and did not get great play our of their two superstars. The third loss came Thursday against the Houston Rockets without LeBron James, which was kind of expected.

However, it was still disheartening to see how badly the Lakers were beaten.

Now, with the Lakers five games into the seeding games and the first seed locked in, we can start looking forward as the team’s potential path to the NBA Finals. And unfortunately for the Lakers, the worst-possible playoff path for the team is now likely.

Every playoff team in the Western Conference is going to be tough, but there is certainly a few teams that the Lakers want to avoid in the playoffs. Based on the current standings and the remaining games, it is safe to say that the hardest path possible is going to be the actual path.

Let’s break it down, shall we?
