Danny Green could be traded by the Los Angeles Lakers in the offseason.

Right now, the primary focus for the Los Angeles Lakers is getting in a groove in time for the NBA Playoffs and winning championship number 17. The team has not looked great in six seeding games thus far and the offseason might feel like a decade away.

However, with an accelerated offseason because of the delayed ending to the 2020 NBA season, chances are that Rob Pelinka and the rest of the Lakers’ front office already has a plan in store.

The biggest storyline of the offseason is whether or not Anthony Davis comes back (and if the team underperforming hurts the chances of him re-signing). There also could be a trade in the works, including a certain somebody named Danny Green.

Kyle Kuzma has long been the name that is most involved in trade rumors but the young forward has actually looked really solid in the Orlando bubble, perhaps playing himself out of any trade conversations.

The opposite can be said for Green, who could be playing himself into trade conversations. We all know that Green is a solid basketball player but he has not looked great in the bubble thus far, accelerating the idea that the Lakers may attempt to trade him in the offseason.

There are some good reasons for the Lakers exploring this potential trade as well. Let’s break them down.
