The next game the Los Angeles Lakers play will be in the NBA Playoffs.

We are almost there ladies and gentlemen. Basketball has been back for several weeks now and we are now almost at the point that we were all excited for: the NBA Playoffs. The Los Angeles Lakers played the last of their eight seeding games on Thursday and next up will be a matchup against the eighth seed in the Western Conference.

At the time of writing this that opponent has not yet been decided. The Portland Trail Blazers are the eighth seed in the Western Conference and will square off against the Memphis Grizzlies in a double-elimination play-in format.

Memphis has to beat Portland twice, Portland just has to win once. The better matchup for the Lakers is Memphis but it is more than likely that Portland will be the victorious team.

Whoever it is, we are going to be going into the NBA Playoffs having learned more about the Los Angeles Lakers than we did from the three scrimmage games before the eight seeding games. While most of these games technically did not mean anything, they still taught us a thing or two about this team.

In fact, it taught us three critical things that we will be carrying with us into the NBA Playoffs.
