Goran Dragic is the perfect free-agent target for the Los Angeles Lakers this offseason.
The Los Angeles Lakers have already booked their ticket to the Western Conference Finals and opposite of the Lakers the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics square off to decide who will represent the East in the NBA Finals.
One of the key players for the Miami Heat’s fantastic playoff run is veteran point guard Goran Dragic. Dragic has been solid for the Heat all season long off the bench and has re-emerged in the starting lineup for this playoff run and has been great.
Dragic is averaging 21.1 points, 4.7 assists and 1.2 steals per game in the playoffs. He is shooting 38.1 percent from deep.
Dragic, however, is a free agent after this season and at the age of 34 he is not getting any younger. The Heat’s main emphasis is future cap space to make a play in free agency, thus opening the door for Dragic to take his talents outside of South Beach.
Bleacher Report’s Dan Favale dubbed Dragic as the perfect free-agent target for the Lakers in the upcoming offseason and we could not agree more. Dragic has appeared in some of our previous free-agent target articles but today, inspired by Favale’s article, we wanted to break down just what makes Dragic such a good (and realistic) free-agent target.
Dragic will undoubtedly be on the Los Angeles Lakers’ radar. He probably already is considering it will be an expedited offseason and Rob Pelinka must prepare early. Here is why.
