Avery Bradley’s Decision

As we all know, the COVID-19 pandemic has been incredibly difficult for all of us. The NBA is no different.

After Rudy Gobert tested positive and the season was postponed, things looked awfully grim for the world of sports. However, when plans to resume the season began to come to fruition, most teams and players were overjoyed to return to the court.

Unfortunately, Avery Bradley was not among those players. Although Avery’s love of the game is immense, his love for his family is far greater.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski, Bradley’s oldest son has a history of respiratory health issues that would certainly be escalated by contracting COVID-19.

Despite losing a starter, the Los Angeles Lakers rallied by signing J.R. Smith.

Although Smith has yet to play major minutes, the Lakers have welcomed him with open arms and he’s accepted his role. In Avery’s absence, Kyle Kuzma, Alex Caruso, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope have also stepped up to fill the void.

Regardless of minutes, everyone on the Lakers appears to have bought into strengthening their chemistry for a title run.
