LeBron James got the results of the MVP voting! He was not happy and the Los Angeles Lakers helped sure his point was clear!

Most of the Lake Show Life staff hates LeBron James/Michael Jordan comparisons. But this one applies for the discussion. The MVP results came out and Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo took the award again for the second straight year. That was no surprise. It was the landslide 85-16 that was cause for discussion.

Frank Vogel had his thoughts via ESPN.

"“No disrespect for Giannis, Giannis had a great season. He’s a great player, but what LeBron does for our team to me is unparalleled,” Vogel said. “To carry the threat of going for 40 at any point but leading the league in assists and quarterbacking our defense and driving our team to as many wins as we’ve had and our playoff success, to me he’s our MVP.“ But I understand how the voting goes and quite frankly our whole group and I’m sure LeBron would echo this is focused on something bigger than any individual accolades.”"

LeBron James is making a run for another NBA Finals MVP based on what he did in this game!

LeBron James set the table for everyone and controlled the game to the tune of a masterful 15 points, 12 assists (Only 3 turnovers!) and 6 rebounds. He pushed the pace to a level that the Nuggets could not match. The offense was so spread out that Denver was forced into fouling in the second quarter.

  • Los Angeles shot a whopping 24 free throws in the period.
  • Denver’s 16 fouls in the second quarter tied the most by any team in a quarter this season.

The only thing that really went wrong in the game is that LeBron tweaked his ankle in the game. 45 seconds later he received a pocket pass from Alex Caruso and dunked with relative ease!

Back to the MVP situation. Giannis won the MVP award and he deserved it. He was the best player on the best team this season. He finished up the most efficient season in NBA history.

However, LeBron did bring up a point that this Lake Show Life Lessons series has been stating for two seasons now.

"“I don’t know how much we are really watching the game of basketball or are we just in … the narrative.”"

Luckily for LeBron, Lake Show Life and the smartest Lakers fans in the world do watch the games. Then they read these reports and discuss in the comment section. Maybe he should have asked us.

Okay, the writer of this series has to give up. Okay, it’s true, “Playoff Rondo” is not a myth. It’s real folks. Read on to see how he won over his number one critic this season!
