Los Angeles Lakers lose to Denver Nuggets in Game 3, 5 Lessons
By Ronald Agers
Anthony Davis made Charles Barkley look awful on Sunday and let him off the hook two days later!
Charles Barkley really stepped into the spotlight with his opinion that Anthony Davis does not have killer instinct. At the time, AD had only 9 points on 3-7 shooting. He even used a player named Derrick Coleman to make his point. Take a listen here.
Lake Show Life will try (REAL HARD!) to explain what Barkley is talking about here. Derrick Coleman was the most talented power forward back in the ’90s. Yes, he was that good. The problem was he had the ability to dominate and just wouldn’t do it.
Is he like Anthony Davis? No. Coleman was considered lazy by many and had a bad attitude.
But it’s games like these that allow that narrative to live. The TNT broadcasting crew mentioned time and time again about consistent domination. In this game, AD didn’t do it and boy it showed.
There is no way that Anthony Davis can play 43 minutes and get only 2 rebounds and expect a win. This is ridiculous. To put this in perspective, Jamal Murray had 8 rebounds and he’s a point guard.
Anthony Davis scored 27 points but did not make a major impact on this game. Need an example? Watch Game 2 again.
Lake Show Life has stated since the NBA restart that the superstars for the Los Angeles Lakers have to dominate! Period. This will not change. Neither was the best player on the floor. It’s hard to say if they were the leaders in this game.
Read on to see who this player was! Yes, the staff was shocked too!
