The Los Angeles Lakers have been favored in every game of the NBA Playoffs.

The Los Angeles Lakers currently lead the Denver Nuggets 2-1 in the Western Conference Finals and have been the rightful favorites in every single game they have played not just in this series but in the entire playoffs.

The only teams that could have potentially been favorites over the Lakers are the Los Angeles Clippers and Milwaukee Bucks, both of which could not make it out of the second round. With no home-court advantage either way, it is a no-brainer that the Lakers will probably be favorites for the rest of their playoff runs.

The lines typically are not even that close, either, and the same can be said for the line in Game 4. Even though the Lakers are coming off of a loss they are still six-point favorites, courtesy of The Action Network. The total for the game is set at 214.5.

Los Angeles Lakers-Denver Nuggets Game 4 betting picks:

As we do in every episode, we gave our betting picks for Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals on the latest episode of the Lake Show Life Podcast.

The line was Lakers -6.5 when we recorded the podcast and both Daniel and myself picked the Lakers to cover quite easily. I have the Lakers winning 120-110 (hitting the over) while Daniel has the Lakers winning 105-97, hitting the under.

It is important to note that despite the Lakers being favorited in every game they have not been able to cover the spread in every game. The Lakers did cover the spread in Game 1 but were unable to cover in Game 2 as they won by two via an Anthony Davis buzzer-beater. They obviously did not cover in Game 3 with a loss.

The over has also hit twice in this series. The two teams went comfortably over the total in Game 1 with a combined 140 points and then hit the under with a combined 208 points. The teams edged out the over in Game 3 with a combined 120 points.

Just based on trends, I would probably go with Daniel’s picks in this game. We both really like the Lakers to come out with a statement win after dropping Game 3 but just based on how the series is tracking it looks like the under might indeed be the play.
