The Los Angeles Lakers can win you some money in the NBA Finals.
The NBA Finals is finally upon us! After a rollercoaster up and down season, we always expected the Los Angeles Lakers to be in the Finals mix, but the Miami Heat coming out of the East is a huge surprise.
Many things have stuck out to me while watching both teams’ paths to the Finals. What separated both teams from the pact was their ability to adjust defensively.
We saw the Lakers drop game 1 of the West Semis to Houston. Coach Vogel was able to able to adjust by going small. They ran the Rockets off the 3 point line and forced them to play uncomfortable.
The Heat were able to play a dominant defensive zone against Boston, and completely throw off the flow of the Celtics offense.
Today I think the Heat will come out with a similar zone look, while putting more of an emphasis on protecting the paint. Taking that factor into play I see a few prop bets betters can look to attack.
Being that Danny Green was virtually a non-factor these last few games due to the Lakers focusing so much dominating in the paint, his lines have come down a bit.
You can currently find Danny Green Over 1.5 3 Pointers Made at -115 at many different sportsbooks. With Miami playing a ton of Zone defense packing the paint it could lead to multiple open corner 3’s for Green.
The Heat will look to defend Lebron similarly to Giannis Antetokounmpo. Lakers shooters will need to be locked and loaded. Danny is someone that has been in the finals before and performs at a high level when the lights come on. This is my favorite bet of the day.
Now jumping over to the heat side Bam Adebayo is a player I’m targeting, When you look at this line its priced at the regular season numbers. Bam is playing 6+ more minutes in the playoffs compared to his regular-season minutes average. He has played 38 and 39 minutes his last 2 games and should see about the same run tonight.
My second prop bet I will be taking is Bam Adebayo over 30.5 combined Points, Rebounds, and Assists. Bam flew over this number in his last game and should do it again tonight.
