In an NBA season that was supposed to solely be about a return to glory for the Los Angeles Lakers, it has been overshadowed by the endless slew of well documented saddening and shocking events highlighting an unthinkable 2020.
It’s created the most critical presidential election in United States history, looming just weeks away.
But amongst all the difficult aspects of this year in Los Angeles, LeBron James and his Lakers’ dominant postseason en route to the franchises’ 17th NBA championship served as an essential distraction for those who bleed purple and gold.
Now, after LeBron and company concluded this crazy 2019-2020 NBA season in Game 6 of the NBA Finals, with no games to discuss until next year, all the buzz around the league is strictly GOAT talk. LeBron and his place among the greats, particularly Michael Jordan in the great sports debate of the modern-day.
