The Los Angeles Lakers have had a lot of championship parades.

The moment we’ve all been waiting for is finally here: The Los Angeles Lakers have officially tied the Boston Celtics by taking home their 17th NBA Championship. Although many consider it to be the most special championship in the team’s history, it just hasn’t been the same without the roaring fans both in and outside of Staples Center.

If it were any other moment in NBA history, a parade of purple and gold would surely be cruising through the streets of Los Angeles. Unfortunately, this particular title run has been inconceivable.

Due to the immense risk surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, there are currently no plans for a parade to celebrate this title with the fans in Los Angeles. Since there are nearly 300,000 COVID-19 cases in Los Angeles County alone, it’s hard to argue with the decision.

In honor of the would-be celebration, I’ve compiled some of the all-time greatest Laker parade moments to help us through these difficult times:
