3. Charlotte Hornets
For so many years the Charlotte Hornets have been stuck between being a borderline playoff team and a bad team. They’ve handed out some very bad contracts and are finally starting to come to the end of that.
Bismarck Biyombo’s horrific deal just finished, then Tyler Zeller and Nicolas Batum deals have one year left. So the team can start to breathe a little bit more going ahead. They can learn from the lesson that lost them Kemba Walker.
The Hornets could be an ideal landing spot for McGee as they have some talented young guards. Terry Rozier and Devonte’ Graham could benefit from having an athletic center to play pick n roll with. Zeller just isn’t that player at all.
McGee thrives on athleticism and he is very good on the offensive glass. He could be good down in the paint as they let their guys shoot the ball. He could also benefit from the number of lobs he could get as well.
McGee won’t fetch a huge package but any draft assets would be ideal.
